After a random post last week that I had purchased some cleaner to deal with my dirty helmet, things got a tad out of hand and I was offered a sample of Diomyx 4in1 to try out. Naturally I was curious as hell, and being a Northerner, the promise of free goods was too tempting.

This is what arrived:

As you can see that’s a fair sized bottle for a tester, the spray bottle looked pretty good too & although I have folded the cloth to ensure everything gets in the picture, I can confirm that it is big enough to cover a small child. Although not as soft as the cheapy cloths I pick up for slathering BDX on, considering the varied work it will be doing, you can understand why.

The cleaning.

So after taking a bit of advice and filling the spray bottle to roughly 3/4 of the way I liberally scrubbed the hell out of my beloved Meteor. You will have to forgive the images as due to the almost mirror like shine it produces, you are stuck with seeing reflections of the author.

I was attempting to be remotely professional in a short vid, but I frankly can’t manage that on a Sunday so I just reverted to default:

Another one here from a different angle.

I wish you all well with your rehabilitation….

But the absolute crowning achievement has to be how good it works on my windscreen. Just look at this beauty:

There is actually a windscreen there in the picture, I promise you! What an absolutely brilliant job that has done cleaning not only the general disgustingness, but also as it’s the spring right now, the huge deposits of dead insects that normally encrust it. As also suggested I am going to use it to clean my helmet visor at some point because wow.

It also smells pretty nice too!

Could of I have done something similar with an alternative?

Well yes, I COULD of done so with more cost and effort. My prior cleaning routine was essentially a quick pre-wash followed by the whole nanotech cleaner spray, which is then scrubbed off, dried down and then a post wash wax spray and buffed. As you can quite easily tell, I did it all with 1 product in a shorter space of time. The aforementioned nanotech cleaner gets me about 4 washes per litre of cleaner + spray wax was in addition. Currently it looks like I’ve used practically none of the decanted spray from the bottle, so I have an awful long way to go before that gets to the end! We haven’t really talked about the cost savings yet either, which I can imagine will be considerable.

Will I buy it?

Stupid question really, yes I will! I’ll probably grab a 5L tub and chuck into the chemical cupboard (where the chemical brothers live) and then continually decant, as I doubt it goes off in my lifetime.

The important bit: I was at no point asked to review, or offered the product in exchange for one. This is not a promotion, I have no affiliation, nor received any financial gain or preferential treatment in return.
