From the ‘Urban Dictionary’.

Also often mentioned for adding accessories that do “Fark all”, for international readers it sounds better in the southern UK accent.

I looked to invest in a set after returning from my trip to the Lake District earlier this year, due to the yeti proportions of my feet the standard pegs gave little support on longer periods of cruising and my newer boots meant that I wasn’t rolling off the peg while changing gear anymore.

The deluxe pegs.

How did I find them?

The feel is great frankly, much heavier duty than the stock pegs and is much wider and more supportive.

They look great too, while not exactly important in terms of my comfort on longer journeys, if I’m paying good money for something it may as well look good too.

As the position of the pegs is unchanged, your feet will end up sitting slightly higher than they do on the standard pegs. This does take a quick journey to get used to as you will be stretching that foot a bit further than normal to change gear(or so it feels). I’ve only tested them for just over an hour so far but on continuous cruising they really are more comfortable than the standard pegs.

I was hoping to install them myself, but after getting them home I realised I needed a set of circlip pliers, which I didn’t have, a quick call to everyone I knew locally revealed that I was plier-less. I begrudgingly paid to have them installed at the same time as my last service. Lesson learned I guess!
