With the continued rise of the small bikes in Europe that eventually managed to get Honda off its butt into releasing the CB350 (now one of their best selling motorcycles in the UK – who would have thought eh) I think Kawasaki needs to follow suit and give us a new generation of Estrella.

Called the W250 since 2017 and only distributed in Japan currently (though the W175 is available elsewhere), it could be a great edition to Kawasaki’s portfolio if they upped it to a 350cc considering the ongoing market trends. I managed to cajole a friendly LLM into imagining what a 350 edition would look like in 2026:

A fantasy of what a modern day Estrella 350 could look like.

It does look a tad Benelli Imperiale (there’s an irony there!) but it does its best to look as authentic as it can. In a flash of insanity I thought I would see if I could get it to create some kind of sporty/vintage cafe racer style because…well frankly why the hell not?

A fantasy Estrella 350 cafe racer edition.

I think it’s only right that Kwak introduced one to the UK and catered to the legions of riders who love their Kawasaki’s, want to keep riding and don’t necessarily like the alternatives.

The killer question is: Would you buy it?
